From the ICC T20 World Cup to the IPL and the Ashes Series, mal88 offers comprehensive cricket markets with the latest odds, live betting throughout the match, and exclusive bonuses for every cricket fan in Malaysia.
Cricket in Malaysia
Many may not realise that cricket actually has a long history in Malaysia. The Malaysian cricket team has represented the country in various international tournaments, including ICC World Cup qualifiers and the ACC T20. Add to that the sizable Indian, Sri Lankan, and Pakistani communities here — and cricket is a sport that's genuinely alive in our kopitiams, residential neighbourhoods, and school fields across the country.
Every April to May when the IPL is on, or as the ICC T20 World Cup approaches, you can feel the energy among Malaysian cricket fans — live screenings at mamak stalls, buzzing discussions on social media, and a noticeable surge in betting activity. mal88 is here to serve exactly that community, offering a complete and trustworthy betting platform timed perfectly for every major tournament.
Whether you follow every session of a five-day Test match or prefer the fast-paced excitement of a three-hour T20 — mal88 has markets for you. All formats, all major leagues, with odds updated in real time throughout every match.
Cricket Formats Available
Each format offers a different betting experience. Choose the one that best suits your knowledge and style.
The most traditional and prestigious format of the game. Matches last up to 5 days with two innings per side. Test cricket tests players' endurance, strategy, and technical skill at the highest level. Markets are especially deep because the extended duration of the match creates a wide range of betting opportunities.
The most popular format among modern cricket fans, including in Malaysia. Each team plays just 20 overs — resulting in a fast, action-packed match full of sixes and fours, where the result can flip in just a few balls. The IPL, ICC T20 World Cup, and Big Bash League are among the biggest T20 competitions available at mal88.
Each team plays 50 overs, making ODI a format that balances the long-game strategy of Test cricket with the intensity of T20. The ICC Cricket World Cup is the biggest ODI tournament — held every four years and broadcast live worldwide, including in Malaysia. mal88 provides full markets for every international ODI match.

Why Bet on Cricket at mal88
If you genuinely follow cricket — knowing which pitches Virat Kohli performs best on, understanding how Adelaide Oval conditions favour the bowlers, or recognising why Rohit Sharma almost always starts slowly before exploding in the final powerplay — then you have a real edge in cricket betting. And that's exactly what mal88 is here to help you leverage.
At mal88, our cricket markets go far beyond simply picking a winner. We offer markets built for those who understand the technical nuances of the game — from pitch report markets (will spin or seam dominate?), to match toss markets (who wins the toss and what do they choose?), right down to highly specific options like the number of runs scored in the first over.
Mal88's live betting system for cricket is among the most responsive around — odds update every ball in T20s and ODIs, and every session in Tests. That means the moment a wicket falls or a six is hit, odds shift instantly to reflect the state of play. Quick-thinking players who read the game well can make the most of these movements.

Why mal88 for Cricket
Built for serious cricket fans — not just an all-in-one platform that throws in cricket as an afterthought.
In T20s and ODIs, odds are updated on every ball. When a wicket falls or a six is hit, markets shift instantly. Players who can read the momentum quickly stand to benefit the most.
Mal88 provides up-to-date statistics including head-to-head records, player performance at specific venues, and recent form — all in one platform to help you make informed betting decisions.
Combine selections from different matches into a single parlay slip. For example: India to win + Total sixes over 15 + Top Batsman Kohli — all rolled into one high-potential multi-bet.
Not liking how the match is going? Use the Cash Out feature to lock in a partial win before the match ends — based on the current situation and real-time odds.
Sign up to receive notifications before a match begins, when a wicket falls during a live game, or when the odds for your selections move beyond a threshold you set.
The mal88 platform is fully optimised for mobile. Follow live scorecards, check odds, and place bets from anywhere — whether you're on the LRT or sitting at a mamak.
Mal88 cricket odds consistently run higher than most local competitors. A difference of 0.10 in odds can mean tens of ringgit extra on the same bet.
Mal88's Malay-speaking support team is available 24/7 to assist you — from questions about cricket markets to technical issues and withdrawal inquiries. Fast responses, effective solutions.

From Our Cricket Community
Honest opinions from Malaysian players who actively bet on cricket at mal88.
"I'd been looking for a platform with truly detailed cricket markets for a long time. mal88 is the most complete — you can bet on the toss, powerplay, and every over in a T20. During IPL, there's something new to bet on every night. The odds are competitive too, better than anywhere else I've used."
"What I love most about mal88 for cricket is the live betting. Odds update every ball — when a wicket falls, you can jump in fast before they shift back. If you really know cricket, there's a real edge to be had. Withdrawals via DuitNow, always in under 10 minutes."
"I've been following the Ashes for years. It's usually hard to find a platform that covers Test cricket properly — Test markets are genuinely more complex. mal88 has the draw option, innings spread, session betting — everything I need to bet Test cricket seriously. The mobile interface is easy to use too."
